Roz Rows the Pacific

This may surprise some people, but I often wish I would have taken more risks and been more adventurous when I had the chance. There always seemed to be plenty of time to do these things. Of course, now that I have two children I have to weigh the risks of everything I do and how my kids would be affected if something happened to me. Nevertheless, when I hear about amazing people doing truly amazing things I am fascinated.

Roz Savage is one such amazing person.

Roz is currently attempting to become the first woman to row across the Pacific Ocean completely alone (she has already rowed across the Atlantic). The purpose is to help raise awareness of how we pollute our oceans and the affect that it has on the rest of our environment. I won't get too deep into this because she writes about it in her blog far better than I can. However, her words, which are actually supported by her actions, are truly inspiring. They remind me that even the smallest lifestyle change can affect the bigger picture far more than I realize. Even though I'm not able to row across an ocean there are many other things that I can do that will really make a difference.

The even cooler thing is she took a laptop and a sat phone on her voyage so that she could write a daily blog about her adventures (http://rozsavage.com/blog/). You can also find the link to right on my bloglist.

Relaunch of "What's 4 Dinner?"

I've decided to relaunch my "What's 4 Dinner?" blog. To be honest I got bored with posting what I had to eat each night. I am expanding the term "dinner" to apply to all things that I am consuming (i.e., music, movies, websites, food of course and whatever else floats my boat). Since I have impeccable tastes I feel that everyone should be made aware of them.
